Toyota Accelerator Pedal and Prius Recall

What to do if you are a Toyota driver. Toyota has now commenced the repair action on the Accelerator Pedal and also the software upgrade on the new Prius.
Drivers with a vehicle that is affected will receive a letter regarding the recall. However, drivers do not have to wait for the letter, by visiting www.toyota.co.uk a driver can check to see if their vehicle will be recalled.
For drivers of a Prius the technical issue only affects new 3rd generation Prius. The work for Prius involves a software upgrade in the anti-lock braking system.
Rectifications for both the accelerator and the anti-lock braking system have been reviewed with VOSA and are permanent solutions. For information on the work to be carried out please read the FAQ document available on this page.
If a vehicle has demonstrated any of the known symptoms the driver should immediately either contact their local Toyota Centre or call Toyota Customer Relations team on 0800 1388744.
