Our links to trade associations and industry bodies, working in the vehicle sector, help us deliver on our promise. By keeping up to date with the latest initiatives, legislation and taxation changes affecting fleet operators, we’re able to deliver the most relevant and timely advice you need to manage your fleet effectively. We are a member of, and work with the following organisations.

Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership (LowCVP)

The LowCVP which was established in 2003, is a public-private partnership working to accelerate a sustainable shift to lower carbon vehicles and fuels and create opportunities for UK business. Around 170 organisations are engaged from diverse backgrounds including automotive and fuel supply chains, vehicle users, academics, environment groups and others.

Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT)

The automotive industry is a vital part of the UK economy. Around 1.6 million cars and commercial vehicles and 2.5 million engines are produced here annually. The UK is also home to the world’s largest number of specialist vehicle manufacturers with global centres of design, R&D and engineering. The sector accounts for £59 billion turnover and £12 billion value added. With more than 700,000 jobs dependent on the industry, it accounts for 10 per cent of total UK exports, with vehicle manufacturers exporting around 80 per cent of production and investing £1.7 billion annually in automotive R&D. The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) exists to support and promote the interests of the UK automotive industry at home and abroad. Working closely with member companies, SMMT acts as the voice of the motor industry, promoting its position to government, stakeholders and the media.

Freight Transport Association (FTA)

The FTA is one of the UK’s largest trade associations and represents the transport interests of companies moving goods by road, rail, sea and air. Boasting a rich heritage, FTA has been supporting the interests of the transport industry since 1889. FTA members operate more than 200,000 lorries, almost half the UK fleet. Which means they are responsible for over 90 per cent of freight moved by rail and 70 per cent of UK visible exports by sea and air.

British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association (BVRLA)

Established in 1967, the BVRLA is the trade body for companies engaged in the leasing and rental of cars and commercial vehicles. BVRLA members operate a combined fleet of around 2.75 million cars, vans and trucks, and purchase around 80 per cent of UK-manufactured vehicles sold in this country. In total, through its direct operations, the vehicles it purchases and its activities in dealerships and the used car market, the vehicle rental and leasing industry contributes an estimated £14.3bn to the UK economy. Through its 500 member companies and their customers, the BVRLA represents the interests of more than two million business car drivers and the millions of people who use a rental vehicle each year. It lobbies at the heart of government in the UK and EU to ensure that regulation and legislation affecting its members is fair and doesn't stifle competition. The BVRLA also works with public sector agencies, industry associations and key business influencers on key road transport, taxation and finance-related issues.
